Just for Uncle Cody

Hanging out, sporting a fun cap given to her by her cool Uncle Cody :)

I had my first 24 hour call shift since Kenadi was born...she survived being left with dad (with a little help from Grandma Quirk)...and even made a trip up to the hospital to visit me!

back to work...

Today is my last day off on maternity leave...it's back to the grindstone tomorrow.  These past 6 weeks have gone by so much faster than I imagined they would.  Getting to stay home with Kenadi has been such a blessing.  She is so wonderful and Troy and I are having so much fun with her.  It's going to be so hard to leave her tomorrow, even though I know she'll be well taken care of.  I've enjoyed getting to be there for every smile, coo, feeding, and even all the diaper changes.  She's already changed so much since we brought her home over a month ago.

Lindsay...the picture is for you.  This outfit didn't last long (most of them don't), but it sure was cute while she had it on.  :)

We're gonna miss Lindsay!

Yesterday we met Klayton's family in Houston to drop off Lindsay.  She and Klayton are leaving Tuesday for Grenada and they won't be back until May.  After lunch at Buca di Beppo, we moved her luggage from our car to theirs and they were off.  She'll be going to veterinary school on the beach where the average temperature is 85 degrees.
By the time Lindsay comes back, Kenadi should be sitting up on her own.  She is already trying to hold her head up and she even smiles now! She is so cute and so much fun!

Happy 2009!

              Already 4 weeks old!
Troy, Trey, Gerry, Lauren, Lindsay, Erik and Katie at Melissa's wedding

It is so hard to believe 2008 is already over.  The year just flew by! I went back to work for the last few days of '08.  It was so hard to leave our baby girl those few days, but my mom and my sister pitched in to help with babysitting.  Kenadi got to meet her great grandma Bourque. We fell asleep way before midnight on New Years' Eve, but our new trusty alarm clock woke us up just in time for us to ring in the new year.  We celebrated the first day of '09 hanging out with the Quirks.
